In an article of Tribune.com.pk (“the online presence of The Express Tribune”) it is said that “the overall import of mangoes of Mauritius is $ 1.5 billion annually.” Wow! that’s more than 45 billion Martian rupees. Given that the mangoes seen above were being sold “3 pour 100” (three mangoes for one hundred rupees), that would represent at least 1.35 billion mangoes if the retailers sold them at cost price, i.e. on average more than 1,000 mangoes per inhabitant per year, babies included. Enough to be sick with them.
