Balsamine

It seems that this particular species is Impatiens walleriana, a.k.a. “Busy Lizzie” in English.

In Chile there is a lonely but brave impatiens that grows in a crack in concrete* stairs. She might be related to the Little Prince’s rose. Saint-Exupéry used to cross the Andes with his plane and who knows if he didn’t see a little flower like this one, whose fate made him think of the rose on asteroid B612.
